- Visiting Angels
Recently, Louis Ryan, an elderly patient received specialized care in his home recovering from a stroke. The Visiting Nurse and Hospice of VT and NH (VNAH) visited his home to assist with his rehabilitation. - Lora Chatfield Earns Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse Certification
Lora Chatfield, RN Case Manager for the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of VT and NH, has recently earned national certification as a hospice and palliative (care) nurse. Originally from Bradford, VT, Lora graduated from Children's Hospital School of Nursing, Boston, studied midwifery in England, returned to the United States and then obtained nurse-midwife certification. Serving as a nurse-midwife in inner city Boston, she went on to earn her BSN from Northeastern University and Master's in Public Health from Boston University. On Saturday, April 24 from 8-11 pm, the entire Upper Valley is invited to attend Lady Linda’s Moon Dance and Silent Auction. Admission is $10, and all proceeds will benefit the hospice program of the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of VT and NH. See full article.

- June 3, 2009: VNA & Hospice Receives Grant from Holt Fund
The Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of VT and NH (VNA & Hospice) was recently awarded a grant by the Fanny Holt Ames and Edna Louise Holt Fund. The grant was used to purchase specialized infant and pediatric equipment for the Maternal Child Health Program (MCH). See full article
- May 20, 2009: VNA & Hospice Receives grant from Thrifty Attic
The Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of VT and NH (VNA & Hospice), a non-profit organization providing maternal child health, home health and hospice services, was recently awarded a grant by Thrifty Attic. The grant was used to purchase a portable projector for community education workshops on “Promoting Patient Advocacy through Caregiving”. See full article
