Hospice Volunteer Training - West Lebanon, NH
April 5, 2010
Volunteers provide a wide range of services for hospice patients – volunteer companionship comes in many ways, from reading to card games to quiet comfort. Hospice is a concept of care that supports patients in the final months of their lives to live fully and comfortably, wherever the patient calls home. Families are included in the support system provided by hospice professionals and volunteers. As community interest in hospice care at home and in facilities increases, so does the need for hospice volunteers.
The VNA & Hospice of VT and NH will hold a Hospice Volunteer Training on Thursday evenings, April 15 through May 20, from 6:00 – 8:30 pm at the VNA and Hospice office located at 66 Benning Street, West Lebanon, NH. Volunteer commitments are completely flexible and can be tailored to your schedule and interests — day or evening hours, weekdays or weekends. Opportunities exist in all the communities we serve. Pre-registration for hospice training is required, but many other volunteer opportunities are also available through the VNA & Hospice, most of which require no training.
Call Volunteer Coordinator Judy Adams at 888-300-8853 to register or for information about other volunteer positions.
