The agency provides home healthcare services which include nursing, therapy and personal care for short-term and long-term patient needs.
For people and families facing a terminal diagnosis, we provide a full range of Hospice services including nursing and physician care, pain management, respite for caregivers and children’s services.
Pregnant women, new parents and babies and children are provided medical and support services through our Maternal Child and Health and Family Support Services. Nutrition support, parenting education, child development and parent education encourage the positive development of children.
Health Clinics are operated by the VNA in communities throughout our service area and provide foot care, blood pressure, flu vaccines.
To be eligible for home healthcare services, you must be referred by
a doctor and meet the "homebound" and "skilled need" requirements. You should contact your doctor about making this referral. Maternal and Child Health/Family Support Services referral process varies; call our referral number for information.
The VNAH does not provide this service. However if you are eligible for Medicaid in the State of Vermont or in New Hampshire, and you meet eligibility requirements, you may get extended care provided by private nursing agencies.

If you are Medicare eligible and qualify for homecare services, these services will be paid for by Medicare. If you are Medicaid eligible or have private health insurance and you qualify for our services, we will bill Medicaid or the insurance company for the services. If you do not have insurance, you will be charged for services on a sliding scale, according to your income level. The agency does not deny services to qualifying individuals who are unable to pay.

Yes. You must be referred by a physician and screened for eligibility by a VNAH nurse.
As flu vaccine becomes available in the fall of each year, the VNAH schedules clinics throughout its service area. Schedules are usually posted in September and can be found on this web site under Clinics.
